Area 51:
- Area 51 is a horror/ Survival FPS game. Although i have only played it briefly on PlayStation 2 (it is also available on XBOX),

[QUOTE- From wiki]
"The game was released as freeware sometime ago for U.S. based consumers by the United States Air Force." Smile

=====================================================================
  • A patch is required to play the game (Link below)
  • Freeware (Officially free)
  • FPS (survival horror)
  • Features Marilyn Manson & Voice acting by David Duchovny
  • creatures designed by Stan Winston Studios, famed creature designer for such films as "Aliens", "Jurassic Park" and "Predator"
  • a Jump Bug is present (See my Fix below)
----------------------------------------------

- i am a fan of X-files from when i was younger and the main character is voice acted by David Duchovny. Having recently read that X-Files may get a re-boot i thought i would search for a PC copy of Area 51. That is when i learnt it was Free and saved myself £20 Smile

Nice, thanks for reply, maybe you could verify the file or offer an ISO?

* I encountered a Bug, provided a fix & found an archive of the original release link.
- i also had a look through with a hex editor but other than updating the Graphics card info (which gives no benefit) i don't know what i am doing so the temp fix will have to do.

I got the retail DISC. Can't provide MD5/hash or even the iso file.

Good point _RattleSN4K3_. I guess the md5 would be totally different anyway, i didn't think sorry. OOPS!
Still, an iso would be nice but i respect your decision to upload or not upload.

CloneCD was useful to clone copy-protected CD's in the past (it was considered really powerful back then). And Game Jackal was awesome when it came to playing games you owned genuinely without inserting the CD.

Not sure about nowadays' tools, though.

As far as the MD5 sums for the Area 51 disks are concerned - here are mine:

Code:
92383f24e174b0a40739abc544175fcf DISK1.ISO
e9dcd0326f53cff6ba107832bde3d8c1 DISK2.ISO
8a1eba71a4993f2c4db055fe4cf4b8e0 DISK3.ISO

I know CloneCD or any other tool. As Area51 is protected with StarForce, not sure if a copy is a proper 1:1 clone with CloneCD (using RAW method) and if it would result into a different md5 due to some metadata.

Also mine version is probably the german edition.
