DeineLtan suggested in the other thread, and I do see a reason behind it, that map list shouldn't be too long. Long maplists gets people lost, they don't really know what to vote and ultimately the same set of known maps is selected.

However, currently, seing how many interesting maps are out there, I fear there might be simply too many of them.

A solution, also proposed by DeineLtan, is to have a couple of short VCTF map lists and cycle them from time to time, keeping the game interesting.
Of course same map could appear on more than one maplist.

What do you think about this idea?
And if "yes", how do you suggest we shall group the maps and how often should we swap the lists?

How many maps do you want to add to the list?
An estimation, more or less

If I were you I would replace only the UTMapLists.ini, this way you wouldn't have to add map after map again.
You could set maplists with 15-20 maps each and replace them for instance every Sunday.

Your offer is good, except that it requires someone to be constantly at the server to switch the maplist Sad

I like the idea of a maplist cycle.
e.g. one list for new maps, one list for innovative maps, one list for pure maps, one list for big maps and one list for spammy maps.
I suggest to swap the list after every game or at least every 2nd game.

To combine the two ideas which have been mentioned, an admin could swap between 2 maplist cycles depending on the number of players.

Of course somebody would have to set up those cycles.
I'm willing to contribute to the administration if you give me admin rights on our server.

Unless someone has sufficient scripting knowledge, I don't know how it can be done.

I can set up the map cycles themselves. That is not a problem. Swapping them - is.
